Information we collect

Depending on your relationship with us, this may include:

• name, role, organisation and contact details;
• enquiries, correspondence and service requirements;
• vessel, site, job, safety and access information, including photographs you choose to upload;
• quotes, purchase orders, invoices and payment records;
• employment applications and competency information; and
• standard website security and technical log information.

How we collect it

We generally collect information directly from you by email, telephone, in person, through business documents or when delivering work. We may also receive relevant information from your employer, a customer, supplier, contractor or authorised representative.

Why we use it

• responding to enquiries and preparing scopes or quotations;
• planning, performing and recording services safely;
• managing contracts, purchasing, invoicing and accounts;
• meeting legal, licensing, insurance and compliance obligations;
• managing employment and contractor relationships; and
• protecting and improving our systems, services and website.

Sharing information

We may share information where reasonably required with our personnel, customers, subcontractors, suppliers, professional advisers, insurers, technology providers and government or regulatory bodies. We do not sell personal information. Some technology providers may process information outside Australia; locations can vary with the service used.

Security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. We retain records for as long as needed for operational, contractual, safety, legal and regulatory purposes, then securely delete or de-identify them where appropriate.

Photographs sent through the quote-request form are converted to a restricted image format, validated again on receipt, stored in private access-controlled storage and made available only to authorised Land & Sea personnel. If an enquiry becomes a job, relevant records may be retained with that job; abandoned draft uploads are not treated as a submitted quote request.

Website information

Our hosting and security providers may receive technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, requested pages and timestamps to operate and protect the website. If we introduce optional analytics or marketing cookies, this policy and any required notices will be updated before they are enabled.

Access, correction and complaints

You may ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you, or raise a privacy concern, by contacting us. We may need to verify your identity and will respond within a reasonable period. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
